Clinical Science Laboratory (CSL), Inc., a Massachusetts corporation, was founded in 1974 and has been servicing the needs of communities, hospitals, criminal justice systems, counseling centers, private laboratories, halfway houses, private physicians and substance abuse programs for over four decades.
We got our start in Sharon, Massachusetts where Dr. Stanley Elfbaum and Dr. Lou Amoruso converted an old farm house and barn into a laboratory. With much hard work, not long after, we relocated to our current and always improving facility. Today, we employ more than 80 staff members and operate three shifts per day, seven days a week.
Philosophy
Our clients know we provide only quality results. At Clinical Science Laboratory we take every test seriously. We look at each test individually and go to any length in working with our clients to help them understand every result that leaves our lab. We will provide the best quality and service possible.
We know that a test result may; have someone incarcerated, have their program privileges revoked or lose custody of their children. It is the reason why we provide toxicology staff to talk to our customers 7 days a week. We understand that cross-reactions and interfering substances play a big role in assessing each client's result.

Hemp Testing at Clinical Science Laboratory
Clinical Science Laboratory started preparations for opening a new division - Hemp and Hemp product testing. This decision came after Massachusetts voters elected to legalize Marijuana for recreational use in November 2016 and after the 2018 Farm Bill that legalized industrial Hemp production.
While we may be new to this industry, the technical staff at Clinical Science Laboratory has been preparing for this new venture for a long time. We pledge the same level of accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism to our hemp testing program – the same level of service that we have been delivering to our customers for almost 50 years.

From Points North of Mansfield:
Take Route 95 South to Exit 7A - Mansfield, Route 140.
At the third light, turn left onto Route 106. At the second light after the railroad overpass turn left onto North Main Street. Bear right at the fork onto Oakland Street. Go about ½ mile. You will pass a large brick factory on the left. At the end of the factory property, on the right is Francis Avenue. Take a right onto Francis Avenue. Clinical Science Lab is the third driveway on the right. We are located across from National Lumber.
From Points South of Mansfield:
Take Route 95 North to Exit 7A – Mansfield, Route 140. It is the exit after Route 495. At the third light, turn left onto Route 106. We are located at 51 Francis Avenue in the heart of Mansfield, MA with ready access to Boston, Cape Cod, Providence and all surrounding areas. We provide our own courier service to pick up specimens from local, intrastate and regional customers. We are also very close to the main shipping hubs for overnight couriers, the train station and trucking routes for easy access of deliveries from our national customers.
